short Biography of Cut Nyak Dhien

Cut Nyak Dhien Cut Nyak Dhien was born on 1848 in Aceh Besar in the territory of VI Mukimm, she was born to a noble family.  Her   father was named Teuku Nanta Seutia. At the age of 12, she married Teuku Ibrahim Lamnga. But on 1878 Teuku Ibrahim Lamnga, the husband of Cut Nyak Dhien was killed for falling into war against the Dutch in Gle Tarum on 29 June 1878. Shortly after Ibrahim Lamnga's death, Cut Nyak Dhien was married by Teuku Umar in 1880. They were blessed a boy named Cut Gambang. After her  marriage to Teuku Umar, she and Teuku Umar fought together against the Dutch. On November 6, 1908, Cut Nyak Dhien died of her   age. Cut Nyak Dhien was recognized by president Soekarno as National Hero of Indonesia on May 2, 1964.
